Mirainbarrel and Pleasant Ridge have teamed up to have a rain barrel sale and workshop at their recycling fair. The event is free to attend and there will be a lot of great information and services for you as well as all of our products available for sale at a discount. Come out and join us for a fun afternoon full of green activities. Here is the official description from Pleasant Ridge: The Pleasant Ridge Environmental Committee, will be hosting a Recycling Fair at the Pleasant Ridge DPW Yard at Gainsborough Park, 92 Amherst, on Saturday, Sept. 26th, from 1 to 5 pm. Ridge Resale will also be collecting new or gently used clothes and household items. You may drop off the following items: ELECTRONICS: such as TV's, monitors, computer equipment, printers, cd and dvd players, remotes, cell phones, cameras, etc. METAL ITEMS: Any predominantly metal items. No propane tanks or items containing freon will be accepted. GENTLY USED BOOKS: to be donated to the Huntington Woods Library or The Pleasant Ridge Lending Library. PAPER FOR SHREDDING: up to 2-3 grocery bags per family. Please remove paper clips. CLOTHING AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FOR RIDGE RESALE: Gently used linens, clothing, shoes, purses, luggage, jewelry, artwork, etc. We are looking for volunteers!! No heavy lifting required.
